Abstract Reflection Watercolor Painting by Melody Cleary

"Reflection"
11x14 watercolor on yupo paper - $100 art only; shipping add'l.
This piece's inspiration was the pond at the Portland Classical Chinese Garden, another great source of inspiration to me.
Yupo paper is a plastic art paper that is totally non-absorbent. The paint floats on top. The advantage is being able to get the whites back by lifting the pigment with water and something absorbent like tissue or a q-tip. The disadvantage is difficulty controlling the pigment and also disturbing first layers when glazing.
